Currently encompassing 180,000 square feet, the Walker location houses Tubelite’s corporate office, fabrication, warehouse, shipping operations and now, the James T. Miller Training Center. The training center is named in honor of the company’s founder, James T. Miller. Members of his family joined Tubelite’s associates at a dedication celebration this summer. The flexible, 100-seat educational area provides a dedicated, high-tech workspace where team members can gather to learn and continuously improve their skillsets.
Tubelite is set to celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2020. James T. Miller started Miller Industries in 1945 and began making aluminum doors and frames in Reed City, Michigan. After a decade of growth and success, Miller coined the name Tubelite, representing the tubes of aluminum and lites of glass, and continued to drive the market forward until he retired from his role as president in 1970. The company has seen various transitions throughout the years, but with the foundation of innovation and dependability established by Miller, Tubelite continues to be a leader in eco-efficient storefront, curtainwall and entrance systems
