Q:  Tell me about your job

A:   September of 2006 I began this awesome journey with Tubelite as an Inventory Analyst. From there I moved into purchasing while holding the inventory control responsibilities. As I gained more knowledge and experience in the purchasing department, I was promoted to Purchasing Supervisor. My current role now, is Scheduling and Inventory Manager overseeing all inventory activities along with overseeing the extrusion and fabrication scheduling activities for our five locations.  I have an awesome team that plays a big role in our success, we would not be where we are without the team.

Q: What did you do prior to Tubelite?

A: Prior to joining the Tubelite team, I worked at a company called Johnson Controls. They manufactured automotive interior components. I worked on the production line manufacturing interior door panels for the Jeep Grand Cherokee. I moved from the production floor to inventory control toward the end of my career there.

Q: What is your favorite part of your job?

A:  There is so much to love about my job here at Tubelite, but the best part of my job is the people, I love the team we have here, we all have one common goal, and that is success. Everyone supports each other in order to meet the common goal. I also like that each day poses different challenges to overcome, we are always trying to delight the customer, we will do our best to achieve that.

Q: What poses the biggest challenges for you?

A:  The biggest challenge for me is aligning our inventory and scheduling processes to accommodate the growth we’ve had and the growth to come. I am always looking to streamline a process to perform the same amount of work regardless of the volume, this will allow us to leverage that growth without adding any additional labor or resources.

Q:  What is something you are looking forward to?

A:  While the SAP implementation is very complex and hard to implement, I am looking forward to taking that huge step of joining our three great brands together and operate as one team systematically. This ERP change to SAP will help our brand move to the next level.

Q: What is something people don’t know about you?

A:  I just recently found out my oldest daughter is due to have a baby! This will be my first Grand Baby. I can’t wait to spoil her or him and send her/him back to Mom and Dad once I am done.  I do not feel old enough to have a grand baby, but hey, why not?

Q: If Tubelite gave you a surprise three day paid break to rest and recuperate, what would you do with those three days?

A: I would take the family on a mini vacation of their choice. I love spending time with my children and enjoy watching them have fun.

Q: What always cheers you up when you think about it?

A: Being with my intermediate family and extended family at the same time. I love spending time with my siblings and nieces and nephews. I come from a large family so the gatherings are quite interesting. My children love spending time with their cousins, and they have a blast together.
